If you’re not local, you may not have heard of the Filberg Festival. Held each August on the BC Day long weekend, it is a great time, full of interesting vendors, good food and some top quality music. My Mum is on the board of directors so I’ve had some insight into how Filberg is changing and modernizing some facets of the festival organization. It will be interesting to see the festival grow over the coming few years. For more info, check out Filberg Festival or watch the video re-cap below.

Well, we’re not Spinal Tap but we’re close. Josée and I have been working on our mad musical skills and we’ve put together a little Christmas medley. The drummer vaguely reminds me of Animal from the Muppets. Check it out by clicking here.
Most of you know that I am a huge fan of Andrea Bocelli. I’ve seen him twice in concert, in Phoenix and Las Vegas. The other day, whilst surfing the vast void of youtube, I stumbled across this clip of Andrea Bocelli singing the Lord’s Prayer with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. It doesn’t matter whether you subscribe to a higher power or not, you can still appreciate the music and power of his voice. Enjoy!
Most of my posts are inspired by the things I’m doing – contests, events, projects. I received an email from my Dad earlier today with a link to the video below. It’s a short clip from the Philadelphia Opera Company but absolutely fantastic. As many of you know, I’m an opera fan and this piece was a great break in my afternoon of work. I enjoyed the reactions of the people in the market – most are positive although I did see one guy with his fingers in his ears. Have fun!
